.tel sounds quite better than .mobi and it's easy to type on a cell phone

 

You will not need to type the ext on mobile device to access .mobi domains.

This is going to be used by mobile devices so that you can begin a conversation with someone by simply dialing a .tel domain. (i.e. call me at 4443335555.tel).

There is no real purpose to create names under this service, nor would the extention fit the name. (unless you are going to set up some sort of communication, i.e. hotline.tel).

Besides that there is really no pt in registering these names.

.tel is nothing like .mobi; they have different purposes.

 

I happen to think that this could be the next big thing if there ever was one. This could very well become the 2nd most sought after tld after .com, because as you said it...

 

.tel is about storing contact information. Sounds somewhat useless.

i dont think the freaking registry has the power to market it right lol. that stinks.
every ext is as good as the registry.
