    i know the new .tel domains are out soon and they are mega expencive,

    you cant develop on them they are done using one template where you put your contact info,

    is anyone going to buy one?

    I won't.

    COM stays the king, always and forever.

    I have read about these, I could not quite understand how it was going to work, (sort of like an internet yellow pages!?)

    It may turn out to be good for a business, but I did not find the idea that appealing..
    It will all come down to how the extension is promoted and sold I guess.

    Cheers

    They started development of this extension in the early turn of the century but it never went live. Back then, it would have taken over the world of domains, but now that extension is OBSOLETE and will only crowd the internet even more.

    .tel = crap ;)

    For newbies, I recommend you stay away from all these new extensions as they are hardly comparable to the king and will not bring you the riches you desire.
