the ipod contest is a good idea. also, your target audience most likely love digg, del.icio.us, myspace, facebook, and blogging. They are probably even on other forums too. So. Make content worth of digg and del.icio.us Advertise on myspace and facebook bulletins. Maybe even make a myspace theme that your forum members can easily use? one that links to your forum! make a blog for your site. this will get more traffic. My new blog gets traffic eventhough i havent really put any effort into advertising it yet. also go on other forums and have it as your sig. Or get a banner advert on forums like mine with an audience mainly of 16-25 year olds

I haven't got the time to try out myspace of facebook. I am in the process of shifting to new town. I tried face book the day before I was leaving for other town. And I got many clicks from it, a few registered. So I'd try facebook, yeah definitely!
