Quoting Brit Hume: CNN founder Ted Turner has objected to displays of the American flag by journalists — saying they should have a more neutral posture. And now Turner says that he was not sure which side he was on in the War on Terror following the 9/11 terror attacks. Turner spoke to the National Press Club in Washington yesterday, and referred to a quote by President Bush in February of 2002: "Our president said it very clearly. He said 'either you're with us, or you're against us.' And I had a problem with that because I really hadn't made my mind up yet." Turner did not say whether he has since made up his mind about which side he's on. I always thought that Jane Fonda was the bitch in that relationship... I may have to re-think. In a conflict between good and evil, I don't see any morality in choosing neutrality. As Barry Goldwater said "Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice, and moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue."
Not to defend Turner, but this was in response to a question where he was asked about the Iraq situation specifically. He was actually referring to who he wanted to win (and wasn't sure); the insurgency or the troops, not really the war on terror itself. Minor distinction, obviously. Cspan has the actual video someplace. Drudge put the "war on terror" spin on it the other day, and links to a youtube video, which omits the actual question being asked.
Nor I. He's a piece of crap. But he's said more stupid things with regards to the war on terror in the past. I am starting to think Fonda divorced him, because he was too far left, even for her
i hope you mean bitch because she is one, and not because she's female, i can go from 0 to bitch in 0.2 seconds
