Technorati - How do they see the tags on your blog?

    My apologies if this has previously been answered, but I could not find a matching thread.

    How does Technorati see the tags that you code on your blog? Are they scraping the RSS feed or the HTML page?

    Any ideas?

    From my assorted blogs it seems as if Technorati is exceptionally reponsive to the category the post is in. Moreso than the word appearing in the title.
