I was wondering.. how to encourage more users to add my blog to their technorati favourites. Whilst last month I recieved over 40k unique visitors, none of them seemed to add me. Is it becuase not many people bother with technorati?

The site is popular, and has been doing well. I've had good feedback, so as far as I know, my site doesnt totally suck. lol.

Any clues/suggestions as to why such a low technorati favouriting?

Thanks for adding me to your Technorati Favourites. I don't get much Favourites as well although I do get blog reactions and authority.

This might be due to the fact that people are lazy to take that extra one step to add you as favourites.

Maybe Favourites exchange or a competition can help raise the numbers.

I don't think Technorati has the same punch as it used to have. Heck, the latest WordPress build no longer links to anymore ...

yeah it links to a google one now which sucks. I liked the stats from technorati.

+ hmm a competition? like what? "add me and a random member (on a certain date) can win something"?

If anyone wants to trade favorites I would be willing. Is there an algorithm behind the authority?

Don't worry about Technorati fav's - T is a waste of time trafficwise. If you're interested in hooking visitors (i.e. getting them to click something on your site that will create a relationship between them and the site) then I'd go for a Feedburner link.

I gues its becasue most of ur visitors are either not aware about them or they are too lazy to add ur site to favorites.... :D
