    How reliable is that tool though? When I check my site, it ranges from 3 to 6.5.... thats a pretty big variance.

    Ive that the tool is not very reliable, reading a site that is listed in DMOZ as not being listed and a few other bugs.

    To get those .edu links, he somehow was able to post an entire page to their /portrait folder on their plone pages.

    I'm not very familiar with these but i highly doubt there is a legitimate way to post a plain page of text through the plone interface. I guess he knows some kinda backdoor that the rest of us dont?

    It's not a backdoor, it's an exploit. It's been used by all the pharam blackhats going after viagra and the like for almost a year now.

    It allowed you to upload any file you like as the portrait.
