Technology and Art Blog - Just Started in February

Hi All,
I am obviously new here and decided to start a site last month. On it I am aiming to do product reviews of technology, post my personal DIY computer guides, and also delve into graphic art and photography when appropriate. I think that it is off to a pretty good start, but I need to jack up the traffic tremendously.

Anyways, please stop by for a second and tell me what you think.

The front page is here but for now it is just a redirect until I design a flash intro and navigation guide.

And having a maverick mentality, I will also post about investments and other random topics based upon personal experience.

 

I checked your site.
Generally, it looks great. The images are clear.
The site background is also nice.
My only critic is on your menu/selection.
Make it a little bigger, its too small.

Do you mean the listing of the pages in blue at the top centered?

 

Good design, I like it. But I found that there is lot of empty space in the header section, try to remove that and also the site title looks simple..

2advance: I have been thinking about the design for a custom header ill make. Does the site title need more detail?

 

I do not like the adsense banner at the top of the page I think it ruins the overall look and feel of the blog,
and for seo purposes I think you should add much more text to the page to go with the graphics.

 

Wow. Those sidebars can be dragged and dropped in your wordpress theme! Nice work done.

Anyways, try increasing the size of titles on your posts.

Im currently hacking up the header to make space for a new image, so that is why it is messy.

 

Thanks everyone for the input so far. I just spent the last few hours in photoshop making a logo. I filled out the header a bit, but still need to add a search box, rss button, and google banner ad. Ill fix everything else that has been suggested.

Very cool design .
However the left menus are rather difficult to read due to the font color . Try to fix it .

 

I like the bacckground

 

I am not a big fan of the background and would think your site would look more professional if it had a solid colored background instead.

 

Thanks again for all the input so far. I have taken note of everything that you all said, and have, or will soon change things to make the site better. I recently added a content management system, which I will somehow try to integrate into the wordpress blog. I also added a forum, and am working on some pretty cool features behind the scenes.
