it looks like you are confused in her wording.....according to me, what she means that she hasnt time to go for classes...means she dont want to waste time to go for and come from classes..but she can read all related topic from her pc only..thats y she need some good links....
There are many seo tips you can read in seo forums, blogs and websites. After you read these, you must try to do on-page optimization and track the result. then you can try another skill and made your self-opinion.
bro you have to goggle some SEO books where ya can able to tudy on page well if in any case ya have problm then you may ask them in forums and all that
