Chitika isn't contextual and that's why it performs so poorly with Adsense, I just read a simple optimization technique which could make chitika perform Contextually by delivering ads related to content. Works with both regular eMiniMalls and RPU units Read: http://tech-buzz.net/2007/01/03/how-to-make-chitika-ads-behave-contextually/
Guess the main issue here is if you want to use AdSense at the same time as Chitika in 'contextually' mode. This would be against Googles AdSense TOS as far as I know. Oh, just read the article, they mention that it should be okay but I would be carefully. Good luck.
IMHO this does not break the AdSense TOS. It all comes down to how someone would define "contextual". AdSense's contextual system works by reading the content of the page, analyzing that page, figuring out what it is about and then serving up what they feel are the appropriate ads. The "figuring out what ads" part is done on Google's side... not on the webmaster's side. In this case we are sending a specific query to Chitika defining what ads we want to see. Chitika's ads are not responding to the content of the page. If you change every word on your page and leave the query the same.... you get the same ads. Therefore Chitika is not displaying ads that respond to the content of the page. You, the webmaster are still controlling what ads are displayed.
