Hello friends, Can you please review the site techalone.com I want to here your review about the entire things like the Design, Add placement, contents...
I'll give you my honest opinion, so don't take this the wrong way at all. I run a technology site myself, www.aceoftech.com, so I guess I know a little in this category. First off... it seems a little "ad stressed." I see 5 google ads in the page, before the fold. And when you have posts, only the first post has the ad right under the title, the rest just have a very large space. So my recommendation: unless your main goal is to scam people to make money from putting ads everywhere for clicks, maybe "dull" them down. You know? Not everywhere at once. Spread it out... maybe one at the top, middle, and bottom, so they are not cluttering the top of the page so much. Besides those ads, the design is nice. Its smooth and flowing. But might I recommend removing the ad from the right side of the page. Because it makes for sideways scrolling which can sometimes lead a reader to think you are scamming them into "accidentally" clicking an ad right on the fold. And with your Google search box, maybe move the character count down to like 15, so it fits in the page, if you know what I mean. The content is very good and useful and could attract reader like me back for more. One thing that does throw me off is that you don't have a logo, you just have text, then a lot more text about your site. And if your doing that to get it indexed by google I would watch out. Google is smart and knows how to identity a site with as little as a few words, but when you start repeating and throwing everything in, then Google gets mad. As I said, its a good site you have running there. If you clean up the ads, maybe add a sweet logo and advertise you could have a really sweet site. Once again, not trying to be mean, just giving you my opinion. -Ben
I agree with Ben. One of the primary faults I see in new websites is the presence of advertising. My suggestion is not to add advertising until you can comfortably get 100-500 *unique* visitors a day.
