The template is pretty generic.. lots of people use it. My suggestion is to get a new logo design that is actually tech related... using a bolder font as well.

 

DP's template is fairly generic too but it still works

 

but DP was established in those times when it was't that generic but general theme is much better as a user who is used to vb forums will not find any difficulty

 

But the blue one is even more generic

DP's skin does work fine..

Well, the skin, get a new one. Also I think there are a few too many categories for a forum that has just started. When your forum gets busier, then you need to add more categories.

yeah i think there is a few to many cats to, im just going to see if a few of our current members can fill them up with quality content and then see the new users start in them.

p.s. also iv had someone else tell me skin and content is not interesting, i know about the skin and how to fix it but how do i go about interesting content?

This style looks good why dont you make this as default ???

 

i was originaly going to, just have a bit more work on it first
Some of the colours dont match up, im pretty fussy with black skins (i love the good ones though) but i still will need a lighter colour for people who dont like a dark skin, if any vb designers are around let me know.

Great layout and a good color scheme. Also nice icons for subforums. One thing I think you can still improve is that top banner , I think you can add few more elements to it to make it look more interesting.

 

Yeah thats not a bad idea, got any ideas on what to put in?

 

forum can include one specific category. for example if you have a web dewolopment category, you do not need the gaming.
