The truth is, Jews have no probably living peacefully with people of other faiths and races... There are a great many Palestinians living and working in Israel.. I don't know of any Jews living and working in Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc..

Israel is. And will remain so. The people living in Israel have a right to sleep and live in peace.
The Palestinians living in a state of purgatory have the same right to live out their lives in peace and enfranchisement.

I felt we were close, once, before. The Oslo Accords, with both sides sitting down to the table, were a good thing screwed by hardliners on both sides who don't understand the concept of "compromise," and who worked very hard to undermine the milestones achieved.

As long as either side has a power base that refuses to allow anything other than an ideologically absolutist position, I don't think this is going away. In this regard, I can't help but think of Northern Ireland over the century of its turmoil since "The Troubles."
