    hey, im thinking of moving to usa to change the environment and i was wondering about the taxes situation in there.
    im from eastern europe, im paying 15% of what i earn from adsense and aff programs + 1% goes to the bank for processign foreign checks.
    how much would i have to pay in usa??
    consider earnings == profit.

    Tax rate info here
    For a business, you get to deduct your expenses before calculating you taxable income.

    Also, the state tax will depend where you reside.

    Not all businesses fall under that tax table. However, if you have no employees then that is most likely where you would fall. You can deduct expenses, but you have to be careful about what is an expense and what is not. In addition, if you show a loss for two years, the IRS is likely to reclassify your business as a hobby and you will lose the ability to take deductions (regardless of having a permit to operate as a business). There are ways around this and any decent accountant should be able to help you with this.

    In addition, there will be state and local taxes as well. When I ran my own business, I found those taxes added up to 10-30% of what I paid in Federal tax. But that could be more or less depending on actual earnings and which state you lived in.
