Which boxes do I check/uncheck for tax withholding? I've read the descriptions next to the checkboxes, but I'm still unsure.

If you are in the US, I would suggest you contact a CPA before you submit anything. Many CPAs will give you a free consultation (especially now that they have some free time).

You don't want to withhold any more than you need to. I know some people who revel in a large tax refund from the Federal Government at the end of a year. I think they are silly. Its like an interest-free loan to Uncle Sam.

A good year is a year you have to pay in, but you planned for it, so you have it in savings

Yes, I know, but I'm not raking in thousands so I would only gain a few dollars off any interest.

Also, I'd rather do it this way for other reasons.

For those who are withholding tax - whcih box(es) do you check/uncheck?
