    1. When someone from outside US (eg. India) sign up amazon associates, amazon don't ask for SSN or any tax info. Just a website address and it get approved. So if he make more than 600 dollars a year, does he need to pay tax to US? If yes, how?

    2. If this someone is my friend, and he buy me gift using the gift card got from the associate pay. Will I be in trouble? What kind of trouble?

    3. If both answer of above questions are no, that sounds like a way to ...

Ok. I know paying tax is a 'good' thing. Just wonder legally how this works. Anyone knows? Thanks.

Also, another questions. When report tax, I can choose I provided service or not. The first way I need to pay social security and can report expense. The second way I don't need to pay social security but can't report expense. Both way are totally legal, right?

    Thanks again.

I mean anyone in US can have someone outside US join the program and help them operate the website. Then he can choose to get paid by giftcard and buy stuff from Amazon. In this case, there is no tax envolved. Is it legal?

Do you have the answer for my last questions? Thanks for answering me.

You know. Uncle Sam is greedy. And I actually live in US. But if my friend in India opened the account. And I "help" him make a website and make some money. In the end, my India friend get the Amazon gift card and share with me. Will Uncle Sam greedy enough to get me in troubles? Thanks.
