If someone made $300 per year in adsense. Is that income taxable and do we need to report to IRS. Any one with experience please advice.

If $300 is the only money you made in the year, then you don't need to report it.

If you have made enough money from other sources that you are already required to file a return, then you do need to include the Adsense income.

You need to file the tax returns.
Even if you get a very low income, it would be better to disclose that.

If you are an individual you dont need to pay any tax via Adsense.
It does not matter if your earnings are 300 or 3 million.

dj, That is just plain wrong information for people located in the US and for the sake of others who might use that mis-information I must call you on it.

In the US all income is reportable. If a few hundred in adsense money is all you made there is no need to file. If your net income from adsense is over $400 you must file even if that is all of your income. All net adsense income should be reported by people who are required to file anyway.

This is the kind of advice that can land people in jail.

It's also why you shouldn't rely on anonymous forum posters (me or digital_joe or anyone else) when it comes to important legal matters. Call the IRS, they have a toll-free number and they are very helpful, believe it or not.
