Today at 12:44 PM PDT the Taurus New Moon occurs. This is an excellent time for seed planting, literally as well as figuratively, this month. Taurus is an earth (practical) sign in charge of being grounded in the body where we can experience life through our senses. It is also related to our personal money, self-esteem and our values. The day of the new moon each month is the day for initiating something new, planning, and determining how you'd like to proceed in the coming weeks and months. For years now I've used Jan Spiller's wonderful book called New Moon Astrology as a guide for writing up to ten new moon wishes right after the new moon (or at least within a couple of days of the new moon). This is a wonderful monthly ritual for stepping out of one's routine and considering where you are now, what is and isn't working and how you'd like to proceed. It is a setting of the sails. Let's face it, since the winds of change continue to blow it is important to keep making adjustments in order to flow with the current or use those mighty winds to move in the direction of our desires rather than attempting to hold to a course that is no longer what it was when we set out. (Hopping off soapbox…) I encourage you to take a few minutes at some point this afternoon and reflect on where you'd like to go and write up to ten new moon wishes. This is a good new moon for making wishes around improving finances or your relationship with money, especially, since this is one of Taurus's strengths. It is also a great time to focus some attention on your relationship with yourself and consider how you can bolster your self-esteem. Lastly, consider adding a bit of color, aromatherapy, music, and maybe even getting a massage. Indulge your senses while the Sun is in Taurus. Happy New Moon!
