I am in preparation on building my campaign for adwords.. I have around 400 keywords and 3 different ad variations that I am going to use throughout each keyword.. My question: Say I am targeting rubber ducks and I wanted to bid on similar domains and misspellings that other people who browse rubber ducks type in.. So I have www.rubberducksurplus.com www.quackaflac.com rubber guck rujjer duck You get the picture.. Since it would be just me bidding on these keywords.. I can basically set the bid to what ever I see fit? Another question offtopic to my original one.. Say I wanted to insert a PHP code to pull in the searched keyword and place that into a sentence. With the intentions being, to obtain a high QS.. Can google read this code and use the grabbed keywords into their quality scoring? Thanks!
You can include both competitors and misspellings as keywords, usually while having a bid around 0.05 - 0.10 for the competitors. You might be suprised to see a few of your competitors bidding on misspellings also which means the average CPC will be slightly higher. You also have to consider that the Quality Score won't be as high as you don't have these words inserted on your website... ...which brings me on to the PHP code. Your quality score will not instantly be improved by doing this as the cost occurs before the code can be put into action, but after time Google will be able to see this link throughout all the keywords occuring within the code manipulation. Hope that helps!
Just because nobody else is bidding on a keyword doesn't mean you can bid $.05 and show up. PHP code is server side, so anything you do in PHP with keyword insertion can be read by Google.
