Targetted clicks - expected conversion?

I know it's difficult to estimate due to the quality of a landing page etc - but overall all, with a good landing page and by sending targeted traffic - I.E. people who have clicked through expecting to get a ring tone offer.. what clicks to sale conversion could be expected?

BTW - I'm not talking about the 50-75% reported conversions from landing page to ring tone offer.

I'm talking straight sales - ring tone offer to sales if you like.

    Thanks,

    Pete

I've sold products online, both affiliate and my own.

In very general terms, 3% conversion is standard.

[You can Google 'conversion rates' and see similar info.]

it totally depends on the offer and stuff like you said..

so like if you bid on "cingular ringtones" exact match and you send it to a page you 100% know works for cingular then you should see about a 8-9% conversion.

Bidding on just artist names and seperating out all the carriers and all of that you should see about... 3-4% conversion if only targeting US traffic and seperating out all us carriers
