Targeting specific content

Is it possible to target specific content on a page for an adsense ad unit or does google only take the entire page into consideration. If this is possible, how do I go about implimenting it? thanks.

 

i cant seem to remember.
but there are specific code you use to target specific text on your page.
i saw this on adsense help.
it goes like <google_ad> something...
