.....when coming up with a domain name i'm wondering if it's better to have a name which matches popular word searches (cooking-recipes.com) or a catchy name that wouldn't get direct matches (punk-rawk-recipes.com)? Piece out.
It depends on what you are doing with the site. I prefer the keyword model. If you go with catchy it should be short, a .com, and no dashes. Plus you have to have a really unique site going with kink bait.
Depends on so many variables and the quality of the "Catch Phrase" you can create and market. It's wise to consider Keywords for a very simple reason. Backlinks. When a search engine crawls your site and finds back links with keywords they at least know what it's about.
Thanks for the feedback.....sounds like for a beginner like me, sticking to key words for the most part would be the way to go. One more question tho......what is kink bait. Sounds like something fun to do after a long nite at 'da club, but i'm probably barking up the wrong tree there.
