OK I have an issue with Adwords that I hope somebody can help me shed some light on...

I was trying to promote a product so I purchased a .info domain name and used the forwarding with masking feature to direct it to my affiliate url

I set up the ad and put in the display URL I purchased and did the masking for (for example... www.crappyclickbankproduct.info)

now adwords support is telling me that I cant run the ad because the urls dont match....

has anyone ever had this happen to them before? is there anything i can do?

    thank you all in advance...

The domains on the display/destination URLs have to match, so you can't mask one to redirect it somewhere else!

You are not allowed to do this. The domain name you have displayed in the ad must match the domain of the final landing page. So if you say in your ad that the domain is someproduct.info, that is the site the user must land on, not someclickbankproduct.com

The solution is to change your display URLs to show someclickbankproduct.com

OK. This is what I figured. I never did it before and had all my ads running fine in the past until somebody who I was marketing for told me to do this...

I took his word for it and then ran into trouble...

I thought perhaps it was because I wrote in the display URL immediately after I put on the masking and did not allow a few minutes for the changes to take effect to the domain,,,

but rather than trying it again and risking having something happen to my adwords account, i thought i would ask the good people on the forums here...

    thanks again...
