Target Location for adwords

While setting up an adwords account I have selected the location for targetted audience as United States.

Is it not possible to not target the ads to couple of countries or maybe to all countries?
I am trying to edit the preferences, but, a single country selection is compulsory.
Am I missing out on something?

In the campaign settings you can add multiple countries by editing Countries and Territories. You then need to select the individual countries and add them.

Don't really understand your question, but as Kevin said, you can target your ads to wherever you want, from worldwide to specific countries, and even cities.

As people already said, yes, you can do it. You can specify on which countries your ads get displayed.

I was using the starter edition of adwords, which allows selection of only one country as the target audience.
The standard edition allows multiple selection.
Did not read the FAQ in detail in my hurry to setup an account :)
    Thanks for the replies
