I was wondering if there is any way and if it does not violate the TOS if you have the advertisements open into a new window because I feel that many people that come to my site have been there for the first time and clicked an advertisement within the first few pages and left the website and of course I do want the money but wondering if there is a way for them to still stay on my site.
since it currently does not target blank from the snippet provided, doing so will alter the code, so I would say it would violate TOS. Send google an email. see what they think. but i would say its against tos.
I suggest you familiarize yourself with this page: https://www.google.com/adsense/supp...&subid=ww-en-et-asblog_2007-06-05&medium=link Then look at the second bullet under Site and Ad Behavior Studying this page could save your account now and in the future
As others have said, it's not allowed. But it should be! As much as I appreciate Adsense (and all the money it's put in my pocket), I've always resented that it means sending visitors away from your site, perhaps never to return. Sometimes you can snag them by getting them to sign up for a mailing list (and send out those letters that just happen to have links back to your site, hah), but this isn't going to feasible popular in all areas. target=blank in the Adsense code would be nice.
" For instance, clicks on Google ads may not result in a new browser window being launched. " READ THIS CAREFULLY... Leave aside altering, you can't even suggest people to right click
Nothing comes free in life. If advertiser is paying you for click, he is also expecting 100% attention from the visitor. With target blank, people would visit and never bother to look at the site which popped up in new window. Remember its always give and take. Would you agree when advertisers say we pay you flat 0.01 cent for all target=_blank clicks?
