http://stoptheaclu.com/archives/2007/01/16/tom-tancredo-announces-bid-for-president/ ^^^^^^^^^watch Low chances of a house rep winning an election. As long as he doesn't run third party, I'm sure his message will be taken more appropriately....as he says... And by his record he really is a 'true conservative',...rather than a text-book REPUBLICAN (yes there is a difference). I'd say he indentifies with the base a lot more closely. If anything, perhaps he'll ease the control that the current admin philosophy seems to be heading towards. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070116/ap_on_el_pr/tancredo2008
I'm not going to outright say that his assertion on this is correct. Although the language he's using is meant to be loosely assertive e.g "I know this is dramatic – or maybe somebody would say overly dramatic – but I'm telling you, that everything I see leads me to believe that this whole idea of the North American Union, it's not something that just is written about by right-wing fringe kooks." There are sign that people wish us to enter that direction. I think it would be damn near impossible to do that within a short period of time, and I'm sure the average American shutters at the idea. Either way I hope I never...ever see that. If anything, Tom can bring the most conservative fellow out. ----------- What's your honest opinion of him?
To be honest, I don't know a lot about him. About all I know about Tancredo is the NAU story and his spokesperson's need to deny that he believes in the NAU conspiracy. I could look up his voting record, but that isn't always helpful. Why people believe what they believe is as important as what they believe.
