    read googles seo guide, that should help you with onpage seo.

    overall you have to make it userfriendly, easy to navigate.

    Thats a 100 page question. Can you narrow it down a little? What is your site? What are you goals? - make money from ads, sell a service, sell a product etc...

    Can you elaborate on what you mean by "enhance the way it has been .. " ?
