Taking the best advantage of link wheels

    Hello,

Despite I do not tottaly believe the power of link wheels, I do believe it's part of the power. I've been using something, kind of, like these wheels from some time now, and don't you believe the wheel alone will work wonders...

First off, forget the 5 hubs scheme. These are way too small to show you any results, and way easy to get picked up by gooG's algo and get your hubs and main site ignored.

The perfect starting point, on my point of view, are 15 hubs and 2 main websites. Also, let's forget a bit the wheel and think of it more like a couple of lines, that at some point pick up a site from another line.

Try not to point all of them to your main site(s), and include relevant links in each of them. Don't just throw your links inside. You can ask for link exchange with some DP members, just so that gooG's see that you are not just linking "inside you", yet you are providing quality content to your visitors, like articles, news, wikis...

This is just the basics, obviously. So, why, may you ask, two main sites? To give the looks of a natural cicle, AND, to promote variations.

Let's say you are selling big red apples. You've done all the work, and promotion, and when the visitor gets there... Will you let him go away, just because he does not want a big red apple? No! You gently drive him to your other website, where he might want a big yellow banana!

Ok, this has gone a bit out of way, since the last part is already general marketing, but that's the way for it to work. Marketing, right?

Now, promote your hubs! Write articles, twit about them, exchange links, and to get the most of it, PPC your hubs. If they are well designed visitor will click-through and end-up in your main sites.

With all of this, do not forget to promote your main sites. Continue developing backlinks, articles and twit them. This will be natural, to the eyes of gooG's and you will be ok.

Hard work? No1 ever said marketing was easy. You have to work for this to show results, or you can ask me to do it for you. ;)
Main focus here? Stay away from those 5 mini-hubs link wheels.

Hope this helped you, as it has been helping me for quite some time now.

Nice scheme. I also use linkwheel as a part of my link building method. But never use it 'exclusively', I always combine it with other links, so yes, I also don't know the real power of it. But I believe it has a role on the overall results. And yes, it's tedious :)

Lol, you follow the original link wheel and then come back to me in 4 months. complete wheels have been going down in serps, thanks to Goog's algo... Just like you are here, Goog's people are too.

The complete idea, like I said is to make something like this in a big scale (50 - 100 websites).

My original complete link wheels are going down, unfortunately, but those that follow this concept are still where they where, if not higher...

Will be changing the complete to this system as soon as I can... ;)

Linkwheels are extremely helpful to me. Actually, I even offer a linkwheel service. But I do not recommend following such a basic diagram.

So, you come to what I've said.... Take this basic example and turn it into a 100 websites link "wheel"...

Yep, like I said. With 100 websites, it will not look so closed and intencional... :D

    Cheers

No I mean, don't just have property #1 link to focus hub and property #2, etc. Make it more random.

I have noticed that a lot of people use that tool. It makes the most basic linkwheels ever. Property #1 links to focus hub and Property #2..and so on... I suggest you stop using that tool.
