Hi Everyone, Has anyone gone through this process to take PPC campaigns from the agency and run it in-house? If so I would appreciate if you could share ayour experience. Currently an agency is running our paid search campaigns and we are planning on bringing it in-house. Anything would be helpful. Cheers, Rose1
Hi Rose, I've been running search campaigns since 1999 and it's one of the easiest to learn, easiest to maintain things i have done. Ad sellers make it so in order to safeguard their sales and make it easy for us who are less than tech savvy. I think you will find the process easier than you expect. Of course it's wise to transition slowly and maintain your former relationship until you are fully satisfied with the results of your own efforts. If you have specific questions, you are welcome to private message me but you will likely find answers quicker using the FAQS and help tutorials online. If you pm me and if our businesses share any parts that will help ... iron sharpens iron. Hope it helps Worthen
Hi Worthen, Thansks for your Feedback. I have been running paid search campaigns in house too in a previous role. We are contemplating it but need to be ure the tracking and the business rules are set beforehand which I believe is the biggest chunk of work that needs to be sorted. Have you got experience with Paid Serach software? i.e. I have heard Marin should be quite good and Dart Search has improved over the last year. We track with an internal database but also use Double Click to track all channels. If you have had any experience it would be great to know. Please also feel free to email me directly. Have a great day! Nursel
Be sure to get every last bit of information on the PPC campaigns that you would need to be able to take over. This includes past/deleted keywords and campaigns. You dont want to be going over old ground. Be aware that unless you are also in control of the adwords account, you'll be starting afresh with no historical Quality Score data for your keywords, so your bids may have to be higher.
