I have this niche site, its a gaming site for crysis 2, the newly released shooter by crytek just few days ago on 22nd of march. I have been dabling with joomla for about 5 years now making various sites with co.cc domains under free hosting, feeling the water finding a spot where I can graps on to some potentional stability. I finally decided to register a domain and get decent hosting, so I made http://www.crysis2leaked.com. I have done some seo in past, I use sh404sef and some backlinking with places like onewaytextlink.com(love this website I want to own it). For my monetization I started with addsence last week and got burned so I moved to bidvertiser then after not one cent in week I moved to clicksor. I love clicksor so far(knock on wood) and I have earned my first dollar there in few days. You can see my unique visitors in my picture jumped on the release of the game on 22nd, to 1200 and then 800. The 200 you see at the end is only for few hours this morning, I think it will be close to 1000 again. I loved to see this, I even had my entire site monetized to full capacity, I took down some of the pop unders of the main page and forums today. Even so, things like this done come along very often I can tell, and getting this many uniqie visitors wont happen on any regular basis. Even tho Im happy with the kind of progress Im seeing in regards to straight up money, I cant help but think as much success as I have had with my site so far I think it will get kicked under the floor after so long which will hurt. I want to know any advice in regards to maximize yeild of dollar when I get large spikes of traffic, like tens of thousands more people then I normally get. I feel just in first week that I have lost alot of business I could have made some how if only I new better. Maybee buying links or something? I have not had any success with page ranking, maybee that can help me some. Not so much just as what I have said, I want something that isnt going to be so niche that I cant make any money, but I want something self sustaining for years. Any advice would be greatfull.
