Taking a screenshot of a page - is it legal?

    Hi,

I would like to make an affiliate site with few quality e-shops. I live outside the English speaking countries and some people don't know English or they are afraid of shopping for the first time in unknown environment (e-shop). I would like to make a screenshot of each step from choosing a product to checkout. I would also, say put an arrow to some part of the screenshot and write "Click here to Checkout" (in my native language).
    1) Do you think it is legal?
    2) Should I contact the companies first?
    3) In the screenshots there can be some pictures of products or trademarks, do you think this can be a problem?
    4) Does the size of the screenshot matter?

Thank you very much for your answers.

    1. Legality depends.
    2. Won't be a harm to do.
    3. If is in low resolution and are used to describe the products in concern. If, not - you should add in notes that, you don't have any relation and etc.. etc..
    4. Low resolution may be applicable for fair-use.
