Hi guys, I have been constantly working as a freelance writer over the last 15 months- at DP and WF. I have decided to take a break (indefinite break!) from my freelancing career and enjoy the real world for a while. Has anyone of you ever felt the need of completely breaking away from their freelance careers? I know, people holding day jobs might have felt this way, but I would particularly be interested in what freelancers have to say about this! Regards Jeewant
visiting another country is nice way to breakaway, in the philippines we have 7000 island surrounded by clean ocean water where you can enjoy tropical weather sip a nice coconut juice , just watch sunrise and sunset. wowo experience
YEP! It sounds weird and funny- why would people ever need a break from freelance careers. Actually, my freelance stint hasn't been freelance in a real sense- I got long term clients who have been supplying me with regular work- enough to keep me occupied 24x7. So I strongly felt that I need a break a couple of months back!
You can take a break by making a small business not related to your work that could make also enjoyable and yet earn money
If you take you "freelance" career as seriously as you would take any career, you should be able to take scheduled vacations when you need to. This requires having enough money saved up so that you can support yourself during your vacation. It's also a good idea to notify current clients in advance when you will not be available for work and when they can expect you back. By letting them know well beforehand, they can either find a temporary replacement until you return or decide to hold off on the project until you get back. Everyone needs a vacation now and then, and with the proper planning you should be able to do so without much hassle.
Yeah- um planning to travel all over India..I have actually covered the north-western part already- amidst a break. Planning to head down south in another week .. I prefer traveling. Sports are fine over the weekend... Money-efficient? How?
