I have been reading many complaints on sites that were never delivered or "met" their marketed expectations. There is so much scum on the internet selling their "profitable websites". Most of these websites are complete trash, not worth the time to click the url, or the seller doesnt even own them. Best way to protect yourself is: 1. get as much info from the seller as possible (if they dont provide it, then they are not worth the time) 2. using the info given to you, research the site, through site calculators, whois info (checking who owns the domain), making sure it clears up with the person selling it. 3. DOMAIN NAME (easiest way to see if a site is worth it, is by looking at the url and domain name, if its a shitty domain name with an extension you never heard of and they are claiming it is making 100+ a month, they are most likely full of shit. 4. Take a look at the site, you can see if its quality by just navigating a couple of pages, this is after you decide that the domain name is good enough to even spend your time looking at the site. 5. NEVER just give the seller the fulll amount of money, best way to buy high profile sites is through an escrow, which is an intermediary that holds your money and delivers the seller the money once you receive the site. Take precautions and be logical when purchasing off the internet, where little wannabee "hustlers" living in their mother's basement exist around every corner.
Thanks for useful info. I had the bad experience of buying sites. I bought two sites. Both proved to be crash. I am very much careful now buying sites. I prefer to build my own sites than to buy now.
Good advise i have bought and sold sites and it is important to be very careful as there are a lot of scammers.
