You know, CJ's HTML code format looks like: <a href="http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-1234567-1234567" target="_top">Link Description</a> <img src="http://www.awltovhc.com/image-1234567-1234567" width="1" height="1" border="0"/> Code (markup): Then my question is: Can I take the direct URL out from it? I mean can I copy the link: http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-1234567-1234567 Code (markup): and paste to my site, my banners, my links... etc?
Yes you can do this and will it track your clicks/sales normally and it is not a TOS violation (a lot of people do it). But remember that you will not have impressions and CTR% statistics.
I believe you could keep the image code in there to get impressions, it's invisible to the user so it wouldn't cause any problems.
Ya, I will modified HTML code to <a href="http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-1234567-1234567">Recommended products</a> <img src="http://www.awltovhc.com/image-1234567-1234567" width="1" height="1" border="0"/> Code (markup): Can I do this? I mean can I rewrite the text "Recommended products"?
You can rewrite everything and replace the image with a picture of your grandma, as long as the href is pointing to the same address.
I'm new to CJ and have been following their rule not to modify their codes in anyway; but I can't wait to change the texts in pretty much all of them. All I wanted is a simple credit card name without the lengthy promotional information around it. So I guess it is Ok as long as I don't change any of the tracking stuff? I did ask CJ support and their reply was very vague. Does anyone know if LinkShare allows this too? Thanks.
