ok so i have searched these forums for the answers but some people say yes it is ok and some say it depends on how it is set up. here is an image. i want you to make the decision if the images that are by the adsense modules violate google's TOS. i am also going to email google and ask them but i wanted to get an opinion from all you here on the forums. please let me know thanks!
there is a border around the image, so i dont think it is such a problem, but you better email google to be sure
what if i changed the images to small thumbnails of hott girls?? would that make a difference in whether it would violate their TOS.. the images may be a little off topic BUT im sure they would bring more clicks.
dont know how long it takes, just count on a few days. It shouldnt matter what images it are, as long as there is no nudity on it (or anything else that is in violation with the TOS). But, it looks to me like you are making a MFA site. Not really the way to earn lots of money with Adsense...
MFA? what is that? 5 bucks or more a day is good for me! An extra 1-2 hundred a month would be nice! Hey, it's my first adsense site. I plan on making money with other programs on the site as well. And i will be opening some other websites hopefully on other topics
MFA = Made For Adsense, sites with only one thing on it, adsense ads. But I wish you good luck with your sites, and hope you will achieve the $100 a month, because with good quality sites, it is possible.
i got the reply today! here is what they said:::: Hello Ryan, Thanks for your email. In general, you're welcome to place images near the Google ads on your site. However, some implementations are not permitted by our program policies, so we ask that you exercise some caution when choosing or placing the images. To be specific, we ask that publishers not place misleading images near Google ads or use images that appear to be directly associated with the advertisers and their offerings. Such images may draw undue attention to the ads and prompt unintentional user clicks, thereby artificially inflating advertiser costs. As you may know, drawing undue attention to ads is in violation of our program policies, so we're unable to approve the placement of all images next to Google ads. If you choose to experiment with placing images directly next to the ads, I'd strongly encourage you to maintain a visible border around the ad units to reduce the possibility of confusing users. For additional questions, we suggest you visit our AdSense Help Center at https://www.google.com/support/adsense . If you're unable to find an answer to your question on our site, please feel free to reply to this email. Sincerely, ****** The Google AdSense Team Man i wish they would just give me a yes or no answer. Geesh. So now what would you guys say i should do?
This has been discussed on these forums and our google liason "adsenseadvisor" confirmed that pictures of bathing suit babes are not allowed. Also not allowed are pointing images(arrows, triangles). Flashing images would also not be allowed because they bring attention to the ad.
So? It says that you should place a visible border around the ads and not the images. Better you do it.
...becareful with Google's email because they are often ambiguous. I advise you to write them again and press them to say 'yes' or 'no' as I have. Look at the bottom of this site I had a white border and they gave me the response you got but I pressed them and eventually they initmated I should have a coloured border and not blend it. Which is fine by me because the graphic is supposed to be a link (I haven't linked it yet) to a new blog. I figured I could create traffic and possibly draw attention to the ads as well.
