TAGS, are they helping or hurting your main blog post SERPS?

    I've always used tags in my WordPress blog postings. However, I've noticed over the years that many times my Tag Pages get indexed with low value serps ranks while my main keyword title page either doesn't get indexed or when it finally does get indexed it sometimes is ranked in the serps even lower than my tag page. Are my tags watering down/lowering my main post page I'm trying to rank for in the SERPs??? I'm starting to wonder if I should even use tags anymore. What do you think?

    meta tags are usefull in bing not google

    sometimes I got alot TAG links from my sites getting higher rank than my main page.

    I have faced the same problem On my Wordpress Website, As per my knowledge google if you use tags in your post, then you will get two post url first your main url 2nd your tags url, So i think tags harm
