In my Experience Using a Categories list does not Help in Increasing Pageviews Like I thought they would.I am trying my Luck with Tag cloud but I am only using them to fill the Sidebar.

I think Both of them are just a Waste of Space on your Blog and Maybe intext links to other posts are more likely to increase Page views. what are your Views on Tag Clouds and Category Lists in the Sidebar and Do they help increase Pageviews

    based on my experience.
Tags cloud best for increasing pageviews and indexed pages on google.

more indexed by google means better result for organic traffic from Search Engine.

Tags work much better, but I had much better experience with 'related post plugin'... also top post plugin!

Interesting to think that people will come to your blog and want to read all the pages.

Most people don't read at all... they search, find your site, then they scan the headlines and then scan some text.

It's counter intuitive to think that your content will be read unless it's directly related to the visitors purpose.

I tend to use top down navigation and try to make navigating my sites as simple as possible. Let the user "find" what they want in the simplest way.

The bottom line is navigation should be used to help the user get from point A to point B and to suit your purpose to steering them towards a related offer.
