Hi, Recently I have been seeing on many websites, they are using tag clouds. I have one question: Is Tag Cloud good for SEO purpose?
If it's SEO friendly yes, but I see some people using flash which is totally useless for any SEO purpose. I've seen some tags rank well for SERP too so if it's HTML based it maybe worth a shot.
The answer is yes or no. If your using too many tags it is bad, it can effect your search engine rankings so don't use too much tags. Using less is ok but too many is bad. I'm not a big fan of tag clouds and don't use it on any of my blogs but I guess it helps thinking your keywords are used to link on your site. Just be careful not to overuse it.
I'm also not a big fan of tag clouds, if you see my blog, you'll find that I don't use it. I think they look a bit too typical and IDK I just don't like them
You can you cloud tags and your rankings will go up, but the catch is you have to have good amounts of content to support the tags. If you have many tags and not a lot of content it can lower your rankings.
