well its good for site users,but not helpful for seo,my mostly sites got penalized for duplicate contents,all thanks to those tags,so i would suggest you to use nofollow in those tags pages,
Tag clouds at some points, are not really that useful in SEO IMO. Well it can pose as a substitute navigation for visitors but can also affect how you sculpt pagerank and the flow of link juice to your inner pages. It would be wise to implement no-follow attributes on your tag cloud. Oh and keep the number of tags to a minimum level as Google doesn't much give weight to those links and can affect relevancy from your website if used too much. This is very true in my experience as well. I don't know if I just neglect to get the proper amount of backlinks, but I always have the hardest time getting 'tag' pages to rank well in the serps, even when they are incessantly optimized on-page for relatively simple keywords.
It is not useful for SEO.As the tag cloud grows; it will increase your keyword density of home page which is not Good for SEO.
