System Req. for a webpage

    Hello there.
    I'm new to this forum and to web designing, marketing, SEO etc.
    but I'm learning.

    I was wondering what would my system require to host a webpage with a decent ammount of traffic, or if im buyin a webhosting service, Which processor should it have? RAM? hardrive? anything else? Windows or Linux?

    You can host webpage on almost any computer. But you need extra performance if your content needs database, php, video streaming, etc. Any OS, *nix recommended

    If your site is new its better you get shared hosting like hostgator or some other host

    Start out with a shared hosting account. As your site grows you may need to upgrade to a virtual private server (VPS) or dedicated server. But if it's a new site begin with a shared host.
