Synchronize a laptop and a desktop

I've been trying to find a program that can fully synchronize ALL changes made on two computers.

Does anyone know of a program that does this? So far I've only been able to find programs that are able to sync files and folders, but I need everything to be sync'ed.

Windows property changes, registry, saving new files, modifying old files, deleting files.

I need this because I sometimes have to go out on business trips on really short notices and I don't have time to bring my laptop up do date every time I have to go. I also need the desktop to update again when I get back.

The price is not the biggest concern as long as its not loads of thousands.

    Thanks for your time,
    Jan

I don't use Vista, and I need everything to be sync'ed, not only the files and folders.

Try Windows Live Mesh from Microsoft.

thanks, looks like a good one, but still not quite what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for an app that basically mirrors my desktop and laptop making them as close to identical as possible.

    You can try DropBox.

Basically, you'll install the app on two different PC's. DropBox will automatically detect changes to files, you specify and back them up online. If changes are detected (on any PC), a new copy is uploaded automatically.

What your trying to do is setup a network of computers. An example would be like a Novel Network, where you can login and all your settings and user profiles are engaged. I know exactly what you mean, because I work for a school district, but I do not know how to do this. If you find any software please let me know!
