As much as i understand, you are worried about your alexa ranking. Try to have more traffic to have higher alexa rank. You can also read this article for better tips.

Alexa is just an indicator, in fact you shouldn't even look at your Alexa ranking, it's not useful at all, everytime you spend 1 minute looking at your Alexa rank, it's 1 minute wasted.

You can use http://www.alexaboostup.com and http://www.choopy.com to improve alexa ranking. Those who say alexa ranking is a waste of time do not know that it indicates a success trend. A good alexa ranking almost always indicates a successful website with lots of traffic. A website with poor Alexa ranking may or may not be successful. So, if you are providing a service which require visitor trust, users can check on Alexa how popular it is. It will give visitor some confidence that atleast it has alot of visitors.
Which is a plus plus.

 

It does not indicate a success trend for the general visitor, because it is made up from the stats of those visitors who like you (and me) have either the Alexa browser bar or any plugin that checks the Alexa rank on-the-fly such as the Quirk Search Status addon I have on Firefox.

So a website for webmasters will always have a MUCH better Alexa rank than a site about recipes, for the same amount of users. Some general purposes sites can not even have a rank higher than 100,000 when they have double or triple the amount of traffic of a random SEO blog which can easily break below the 100,000 Alexa rank...

But even then, even if you think whatever about Alexa rank, checking your Alexa rank is as useless as checking your Google PR.. What about you produce new content instead or do things that will bring in more visitors daily? The rankings will follow, and you should not care.

Now tell me an example of a site which require visitor trust and those visitors will look at alexa rank before taking a decision... If it's not a webmaster related site then it simply doesn't exist, you can't find any such example. Now for a webmaster related site, it will be much easier to rank higher in Alexa, so even with a low traffic you can get high alexa rank if your traffic only comes from visitors who are most likely to have the alexa bar or something similar which checks the alexa rank of any site on the fly.

If you can use tools to improve alexa ranking then it is hardly an indication of a success trend but rather about how much time the webmaster has wasted on this useless goal, which in turn means that the webmaster didn't invest this time in producing valuable content or services.
