Oh, I'm aware there are churches even in Iran. The only church you presented with crosses openly visible was the one in Egypt. How about synagogues with the star of David in open display?

Oh, and UAE, center of capitalism in the Middle East, hmmm.... Bad example. How about Yemen? Saudi Arabia? Syria? Afghanistan? The church in "Occupied Palestine" happens to be in Nazereth, as in Jesus of Nazereth. Interesting that the church has no crosses on display, but has been permitted to stand, probably more for historical value than anything else.

Even if what you are selling, the idea that Islamic states are tolerant of other religions, were true, there are many other loud Islamic voices saying exactly the opposite.

Sure, I'll humour you. Eliyahu Hanavi synagogue in Alexandria, Egypt:

Roman Orthodox Church in Hama, Syria.

    A church in Yemen:

Last I checked, Afghanistan is not a "Middle Eastern" country, so that contradicts your earlier demand for a "real Muslim country" in the Middle East. And I posted a picture of the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem, which is located in the West Bank, not Nazareth. West Bank is recognised as "Occupied Palestine Territory" by the UN and every civilised nation in the world....with the exception of two barbaric countries, US and Israel.

The evidence is far too numerous to be a "coincidence". If Muslims had really wanted it, these churches and synagogues would not be standing at all in the Middle East. The fact that they do shows the tolerance of Islam and the falsehood of your claims.

Egypt is currently restoring a Jewish temple.

    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/08/20/world/main5256157.shtml

Granted they are doing it because an Egyptian wants to be head of UNESCO, but at least they are doing it.

We all know that Muslims do not encourage people to practice other faiths. While some religious buildings are tolerated it is mainly because they have been historically there, not because the Islamic countries are encouraging other religions or allowing new religious buildings to be constructed.

Obviously, many Muslims themselves have no problem with other religions and religious buildings, but the Muslim controlled governments do seem to have a problem with it.

Show me the crosses! Difficult isn't it. The majority of the churches in these countries have some historical significance. Regardless, my point stands. As I mentioned earlier, there are christian churches in Iran, but any attempt to spread the gospel carries a death sentence. When the Swiss start executing people for the practice of their religion, perhaps your complaints will carry legitimacy. Even then, it would just be a group of murderers complaining about someone else committing murder.

~ Well, isn't Switzerland being just as retarded as the religious leaders of the middle east and that makes them somehow very inteligent.....Those siding with the Swiss surely would have the same law passed in the USA rather than have our freedom of religion speak on its own behalf irregardless and fearless of others.

Only as retarded as the guy who puts bars on his windows after 5 houses in his neighborhood are robbed. While bars on the windows may suck, having all your stuff ripped off is worse. Once the scumbags who are robbing houses in your neighborhood are behind bars(or in a hole), you can go back to living in a more secure environment WITHOUT bars.

While some want to deny there is a problem, I am pretty confident there are 13 families in Texas right now that wish the Government had worried a little less about political correctness and focused a little more on the very obvious information that had been in their hands for a very long time.

When the Muslim nations of the planet do what it takes to not only quit fostering this type of ideology, but bring those that spread it to justice, perhaps the Swiss will allow Minarets within their borders. In the meantime, things are only going to get worse for all followers of Islam in practically every western nation.

    The Immage of ISLAM!
    http://www.religioustolerance.org/rt_saudi.htm
Saudi Arabia has essentially no separation between religion and government. Their citizens enjoy little religious freedom. Its constitution lacks the type of guarantees found in the U.S. and Canadian constitutions. The country is under a particularly repressive interpretation of Islamic Sharia law, which forbids Christian worship, literature, wearing of crosses, owning Bibles etc, anywhere in the country. Other non-Islamic religions are similarly oppressed. Some events which demonstrate this religious intolerance:

Early 1990s: Christian religious services in the American Embassy were terminated at the Saudi government's request.
Two expatriates living in Saudi Arabia were arrested on 1998-JUN-6 for hanging 500 packets of Christian literature on house doorknobs. The Muttawah (Saudi religious police) subsequently raided a number of homes and arrested 10 more Christians.
Out of fear, about 400 Christian house churches have stopped meeting. They were primarily attended by expatriates, mostly Filipinos. Steve Snyder of International Christian Concern said: "There is a silent, mutually understood moratorium on all gatherings in the country...They are staying underground."
The Saudi government controls much of the Internet in their country. They do not permit their citizens to view this web site, or a number of other Internet sites devoted to religious freedom and tolerance.
Their Ministry of Commerce is forbidden from registering trademarks for products whose images are in the form of a cross, a star of David or a Buddha statue.
In late 2003, the Authority for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (APVPV) cracked down on stores selling flowers, candles or gifts for New Year's Eve. Only two holidays can be celebrated in the country: the Muslim observances of Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha.
Prior to 2003-DEC, the government banned imports of female dolls and stuffed animals. This was apparently in order to discourage citizens from celebrating Christmas. 1

It is not difficult at all, you just need to be smart enough to search for images in Google. after 30 seconds search, I found these churches in Iran. There were many more, almost in every city in Iran. ;)

Image result for "church Tehran" in Google

How terrible and intolerant Saudi's are :( they do not allow non-Muslims to enter Mecca or Medina, the two most holy sacred places for Muslims, that are only for worshiping, how antisemitic they are!!!!!

Don't they know that non-Muslim tourists want to go there!! and watch Muslims in their religious trips to Mecca and Medina? or maybe play roulette and drink alcohol in the night clubs!! even if there are no night clubs they should have some, and maybe special ones for gays, how intolerant they are for not having nude beaches there too :(

and how intolerant they are for not having any church there, even though they have 0% Christians and Churches are mostly abandoned in Christian countries, but they should build churches for Christians guests who might want to worship, same way as we have in Vatican, we build Mosques for Muslim guests coming there.

How intolerant are Muslims and this is not new, they showed their intolerance when Christians launched crusades wars on them, they should have showed more tolerance and got killed or converted without fighting back!!

    bluh bluh bluh..

same disgusting and hateful comments made by the same people always,

look at the bright side :D

Saudi's, and Muslims in general do not make cartoons of Jesus, or Moses, portraying them as terrorists, while we have seen how they made them in Europe and used the anger that this created in Muslim world to try to shine their abandoned Christianity, despite Christians there are trying to be proud of the Atheist practices of tolerance, if they were to follow bible then it would mean kill all non-Christians, let me know if you need a proof.

Saudi's, and Muslims in general do not celebrate reverts to Islam in the Haram Sherif in Mecca, despite there are so many thousands of them, while we have seen how the pope celebrated a convert to Christianity in Vatican, in a way that showed how silly he is to celebrate a one convert to Islam in that promotional way, when there are hundreds if not thousands of Christians reverts to Islam every day,

a person must note in which sense the word tolerance is used, if it was by a Muslim, then its meaning was not left to imagination, it is mentioned in the Qur'an, which is the ONLY holy book that have RIGHTS for non-Muslims, you can find them online easily,

while if it been used by others, it will mean allowing them to insult, ridicule, humiliate Muslims without Muslims react in any way, if this is your understanding for the word tolerance, then I will be a proud intolerant :)

on personal level, I studied for 12 years in a Christian school, were both Muslims and Christians were celebrating each other religious holidays, and better understand each other, even though there was a hidden missionary agenda there, but in general, knowing the other more, made me more proud to be a Muslim, and this is the source of tolerance for Muslims, they know they are on the truth, anything else than truth for them is small, and does not turn them into paranoid intolerant beasts as we see in Western world.

    and many more.....

Useless to tell us how tolerant the book is if the followers aren't.

"Tell us"? I m posting in reply to some misleading post, not trying to tell "you", rather than trying to refute, if I wanted to tell "you" I would have started a thread, and told "you", but in case you did not notice, I rarely start a thread to tell "you" about "us",

of course person won't see Muslim tolerance when s/he keeps his head buried in sand,

Let's assume that there were 10 intolerant incidents happened in some Muslim country against non-Muslims, and that there were 1000 intolerant incidents happened in some non-Muslim country against Muslims,

but the media in an intolerant way caught Muslims intolerance only, what effect this may have on public?

a person needs to check with non-Muslims in Muslim countries to know the truth, media works like a magnifying lens, if you hold one and look through it at an ant, you will see the ant as a HUGE ant that you may consider a threat on your safety, but you consider so, because you know that this is not the ant, but the magnifying lens effect,

except with media, you do not see this effect, because somebody is holding these magnifying lens and putting them directly on your eyes when you look at some part of the world,

it is of the interest of politicians to use religion, whether their people religion, or other people religion, to achieve their political goals, Americans must always be frightened of some "boggy man" out there who wants to get them, with this, politicians can gain their support to launch wars to control other people's lands and resources, in what later be understood as "if we do not take these resources or power items, they would use them against us"

tolerance in Muslim countries can be seen if you decided to pull your head out of sand in most of Muslim countries celebrating Christian holidays, while Muslims have to work in their religious holiadys in most non-Muslim countries,

it can be seen here too in a Mosque and a Church in Jordan:

with no hateful sign on the entrance of any of them, unlike in USA:

and it can be seen in the testimonies made by non-Muslims, including the testimony made by the Jewish ex-Israeli president:

and in current US president words:

    and the ex-president:

and in the testimonies of non-Muslims in Muslim countries, there are many examples, you won't find it hard to find them online, that is of course if you did not let your hate control you as usual, one example:

let me know if you need more.

despite the hostile and aggression that been made by Christians towards Muslims in history (crusades and others) till these days, (Palestine, Iraq & Afghanistan) Christian are still living in almost every Muslim country, in peace, and their Churches are still standing, same way as Christian churches stood in holy land of Palestine, during a period where the holy land been controlled by Muslims, and nobody would be able then to account them if they decided to destroy them.

    LOL. Imad, you are funny.
Your tendency to convince yourself to believe in stuff that contradict all evidence is simply beyond my ability to understand.

    lets assume.
but why assume if we know that INTOLERANCE BY THE STATE POLICE to the non-muslims surpasses by far the sporadic intolerance by couple of bullies here and there in the west?
only you and others who live in fairy tales can think otherwise.
http://www.state.gov/g/drl/rls/irf/2005/51609.htm section II is for you. READ IT. it is comparable with something in the west done to muslims? are you even talking yourself seriously? you think that a picture can counterweight this? not even a 1000 pictures.

    OK

thousands of other magnifying lenses exist.
the best magnifying lens you could come up with, is this sign outside of the church probably in some deserted american town in the desert? u'll have to do better I suppose if you want to convince us. give us some magnifying lenses.

no, YOU do not see this effect, as many other things which are big and obvious before your eyes, but all smart western people on this forum: do see.

so all westerns in the world from all countries, those who made it to the moon, invented the vaccines, the computers, medicine, quantum phsyics, plastics, and the internet, really don't know what they are talking about. They should listen more closely to the flat earth society from the "Islamic Sciences" department in Cairo, now these guys really know what they're talking about....

Jordan is one of the most tolerant muslim countries. This is true. although honor killings are fine, but other religions get better treatment - but this is only because the bedouins rule Jordan ... and not the fanatic shar'a muslims....
nonetheless, we in Israel remember perfectly well the Jordanian "tolerance" in Jerusalem before 1967....
    The source is, I must admit, a surprise: a Saudi university website.... http://faculty.ksu.edu.sa/yousif/ELT Resources/Lesson Plans/Famous Places/The Western Wall.pdf
wikipedia, of course, supports this (from other references), and adds, that when people asked to access the western wall, the Jordanians asked for proof that they were baptised! to make sure that they are not only not Israeli, but also not jewish.

So, Imad, save your ألف ليلة وليلة (One Thousand and One Nights) for your friends there who know about the world they live in just as you do... from fairy tales angels and prophets....
