    it's all about how you promote your site, and not always about the domain. Generally having your own domain is better because visitors remember it more and there are some advantages on the SEO front. However it's all about how you build back links to your site and that's what really matters along with good quality and regular content. I know some blogspot people earning $2000 a month.
