Switching to CPM = Good idea?

I get about 2500-3000 ad impressions per day with AdSense but my earning is very inconsistent. Some days I would earn $0.25 and some days $5. Average at $1 though.

I heard that some CPMs pay $1-2 per 1000 impressions. Doesn't that mean I can earn around $5 everyday easily? That will be so much better than AdSense.

I think the main reason why my site gets low click rates is because it's a gaming and media site (videos). So people don't "read" - they just focus on the videos not the text. In this case, I think Impression will work better for my site.

What do you think? Am I correct or am I missing something?

    switch,no.
adding a cpm network or 2,you can make more money overall.
my arcade i use 4 ad networks and it's not stuffed with ads.

on certain sites, adsence images will have a higher click though rate.
think of how much you make in a day,not the pay per click. ;)

you may not get $1-2 cpm,but you could make $5+ a day.

I read somewhere that some ad companies like Adbright are better if you decide to switch to a cpm campaign.

Adsense do not pays according to impressions these days. There are very few advertisers who are paying on CPM basis. I think you can better switch to other CPM networks.

BTW: I was also thinking to find any other CPM networks but i was not even able to find a good one. I mean which have a good network with them.

Right now I'm looking into: Casale Media, ValueClick Media, and Banner Connect.

Casale is great, only thing with them is they require 25,000 unique visitors per month to even have your website accepted!

Not to sure on the others

umm yeah .. need to raise my traffic. I got accepted by Burst Media and Banner Connect. Burst Media seems to be exclusive so I won't be able to use other networks. Banner Connect is non-exclusive so maybe I'll give it a try.

CPM is very confusing. If you need traffic, you need to do SEO first.
