I'm making the switch from having a blog on wordpress.com to wordpress.org. I will be keeping the same domain name which is conquerweightloss.com. I use Godaddy as my host and I seem to be having a problem with the switch. When I try to go to my administration page, I'm forwarded to my wordpress.com blog and it shows a 404 error on the page. Please help! Also, please keep in mind I am far from tech saavy. Thanks guys!
Okay, I presume what you mean is you have downloaded the most recent WordPress version and installed it in your GoDaddy account? If not, you have to do that unless GoDaddy offers a one-click install of WordPress in your hosting account admin area. Once you have WordPress properly installed on your GoDaddy server space, go to your blog at WordPress.com and export your content...then import to your new blog and you're done! it sounds like it's easy but if you are not tech savy you may want to pay someone to do this for you so that stuff does not get messed up. Good luck!
