I would like to switch my homepage (see my signature) to wordpress. The site is PR2 and ranks good for some search terms. I get around 250 visitors a day from google. What will happen if I switch to wordpress, I would put all the content that now is on the front page to different posts in wp. Would it affect my SERPS? I would add a lot of new content also, I have written a lot of new things for this site but I don't want to spent any more time making html pages. I already have a couple of blogs and I'm verry happy with wp.

You will need to 301 redirect any old html pages to the new html pages. If you got content on one page and plan to split it up it will effect your SERPs regardless what you do since you can't 301 redirect 1 page to multiple other ones.

I already suspected something like that. Have already have made up my mind, will try to make as much 301 redirect as possible. Thanks for the reply :)
