Switching Domains Names on Same Server

    Hey All,

    I was curious how to change the domains associated with an account on my VPS. I want to switch the main domain on an account to a new one, and update all the sub-domains & email addresses. Does anyone have any ideas how to do this? Would all I need to do is simply go into my server root & change the domain on the account, then log-into cpanel & re-create all the email addresses for the new domain and re-do the add-on & sub-domains to rebind them? Any help is appreciated. + rep for help!!! :)

    Actually if you are using whm/cpanel you don't need to switch one account to another. You can change both account username and domain name from whm panel which is same like change account.

    Would that just require time for the domain to propagate? Also, would I need to do anything with the nameservers?

    No it required no time. It will happen almost immediately. No need to do anything with name server.
