Switching between wordpress to joomla

Hi All

i would like to get some advice from the experts whos dealing wordpress and joomla . im thinking to change my wordpress site into joomla one since i need the site to look more as a portal .

my question is is there a way to that on a smart way ?
can it damage my SEO efforts with that domain ?
does a redirect from wordpress to joomla will be the best way to do that ?

and generally what you think is better ?

i guess, wordpress is better, you better not to switch to joomla ...

 

Check if there any plugin to do it easily. Also try out posting your requirement in Joomla forum.

I like more Wordpress. It is really for blogging. But anyway you can find plagin for switching between wordpress to joomla

 

If you want a portal like website then you switched to joomla it's more powerful than wordpress you can just 301 redirect all pages inoreder to not loose your PR and traffic.

 

I would also ask you not to switch to Joomla, and if you must you should switch to Drupal

 

Wordpress is better compare to joomla.I would recommend to continue,don't switch to joomla.

 

wordpress is easier than joomla but it depends on your use, joomla has lots of components and modules you can enjoy with. If you want only a blog then stick with wordpress.. it's the best so far.
