I just switched from Blogger to WordPress and I need to upload my template to WordPress.

I have searched and looked for information on this, however, I am having major troubles finding out how to do this.

I have my image files, the background, header and footer images...however, I do not know how to upload them. Does anyone have any guidance or would be able to help me with this?

    I am stumped!!!!

you upload the themes to the wp-content>themes and then in your admin panel go to presentation and select the theme.

True. Are you using CPanel hosting? If so, do the following:

    - Unzip the theme to your desktop.

    - If you don't already have it, download FileZilla. It's an FTP client.

    - Install FileZilla.

    - At the top, Host = your domain Username and Password are same as your CPanel login. Click QuickConnect.

    - On the left, navigate to the theme folder on your desktop and click it once to highlight it.

    - On the right, navigate to public_html>wp-content>themes
Double click it to make sure the folder is open and the default themes are showing underneath.

    - Right-click the new theme at the left and select "Upload"

This will upload the new theme folder to WordPress.

    - Log into WordPress.

    - From your Dashboard, click the Presentation tab.

    - From the Presentation tab, click Themes. I think it is defaulted here already.

    - Scroll down and select the theme from the list. There should be a thumbnail.

    - View your site to see if it took properly.

I hope this helps...if not, PM me what kind of problems you are having. If you don't have CPanel hosting, then I'm at a loss. Best of luck!!!

It sounds as if you are saying that, "I need to upload my template to Word Press."

If you are talking about your blogger template..it will not install...you have to get a Word Press theme.

Oh yeah...good point. You have to use WordPress themes with WordPress. You can find thousands of them with a simple Google search.

You can try to find a WordPress theme with a similar layout as your old one and then tweak it to add your images.

Someone might have already ported it if it's popular, that would definitely be worth checking out.
